Connor McCain

Connor McCain is a dedicated and insightful consultant at Anchor Point Consulting, bringing a wealth of experience in legal analysis, strategic thinking, and effective communication. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where his passion for advocacy flourished through his extensive involvement in their Mock Trial Program, earning numerous accolades.

Between earning his undergraduate degree and pursuing his Juris Doctor, Connor fell in love with education as a teacher at West Feliciana High School. During this period, he also further developed his passion for legal reasoning and persuasive argumentation by actively coaching both the West Feliciana High School and the University of Louisiana-Monroe mock trial teams. This experience in education and mentorship solidified his understanding of critical thinking and effective advocacy.Connor went on to receive his J.D. from Paul M. Hebert LSU Law Center.​

Connor's time at LSU Law was marked by exceptional achievement and a deep commitment to both academics and the development of his advocacy skills. Graduating with high honors, he was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif, recognizing his outstanding scholastic performance. His dedication to legal scholarship was further evident through his membership on the Louisiana Law Review and his role as a Teaching Assistant in demanding subjects such as Civil Procedure I, Constitutional Law, and Obligations.

Beyond academics, Connor actively cultivated his abilities in advocacy and leadership. He was selected for the Order of the Barristers, an honor recognizing exceptional courtroom advocacy skills, a testament to his success as the Fall 2021 Ira S. Flory Mock Trial Competition Champion and Best Oral Advocate, as well as his achievement as a National Semi-finalist in the Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition. His commitment to the legal community was also reflected in his membership in the Wex Malone Inn of Court and his election by his peers to significant leadership positions, serving as SBA Class President and Vice President of the LSU Law Board of Advocates. Connor's multifaceted success at LSU Law underscores his well-rounded capabilities and his readiness to contribute meaningfully to the legal field.

Prior to joining Anchor Point Consulting, Connor honed his legal skills as a criminal defense attorney, providing crucial representation and strategic counsel to his clients. He further deepened his understanding of the judicial process through his role as a Staff Attorney for Judge Fred Crifasi at the 19th Judicial District Court.

​

Outside of his professional life, Connor enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Allena. He is an active individual with a passion for golf and pickleball, and he remains an avid sports enthusiast. In his leisure time, Connor also appreciates the art of stand-up comedy, both as a spectator and even dabbling in it himself. His diverse experiences and well-rounded interests contribute to his thoughtful and engaging approach at Anchor Point Consulting.
