2-Hour Case Perception Focus Group
Facilitated by Anchor Point Trial Consultants. This focus group will be conducted within 6 weeks of receiving the case materials.
A case perception focus group offers attorneys an insight-rich opportunity to explore how everyday people perceive your case's core themes, facts, and emotional drivers. It's particularly well-suited for cases that are early in litigation, providing a guide to developing case themes and strategies. By presenting a neutral statement of facts to a mock jury panel, we're able to capture potential jurors' crucial first impressions, underlying biases, and key decision-making factors. This helps you get that essential "10,000-foot view" of your case, and these insights can be invaluable in guiding your discovery tactics and overall strategy before you step into the courtroom.
2-Hour Opening Statement Focus Group
An opening statement focus group allows trial attorneys to preview their case during its most high-stakes moment: the opening statement. It's specifically designed to evaluate how potential jurors respond to your narrative and arguments before the defense has a chance to speak. By delivering your opening to a mock jury panel, you'll uncover in real-time how well your message resonates, what key points jurors retain, and where any confusion or resistance may lie. Crucially, this type of focus group not only provides insights about the case itself but, perhaps even more importantly, offers a critique of your presentation style—helping you refine how you deliver your arguments. This crucial feedback empowers you to tighten your arguments and ensure your initial impression is as powerful and persuasive as possible.
Half-Day Focus Group
A half day focus group is ideal for trial lawyers seeking direct, hands-on experience presenting their case in a simulated courtroom environment. In this focused 3.5 to 4-hour session, the presenting attorney delivers the case content – whether it's a neutral narrative or a fully adversarial presentation. This approach is often best suited for more straightforward cases, or when your primary goal is to dive deep into either liability or damages. Our experienced team expertly manages all the logistics, from participant recruitment and group facilitation to ensuring a seamless, professional experience from start to finish. This streamlined format allows attorneys to practice voir dire, test openings, explore key themes, and hear juror reactions in real time, providing invaluable feedback to sharpen their trial strategy.
Full-Day Focus Group
A Full-Day Focus Group offers attorneys the closest experience to an actual trial – without the formal courtroom setting. In this immersive, attorney-led session (typically 7-8 hours), you'll present your case in-depth to a carefully selected, demographically appropriate mock jury panel. This extended format allows for comprehensive testing of themes, deep exploration of juror attitudes, and the observation of real-time reactions throughout a simulated trial. Crucially, this longer duration provides ample time to explore the intricacies of your case, including showing witness testimony or even bringing your client in live to test their presentation or credibility in front of a realistic panel of jurors. Whether you choose a neutral format (focusing on a detailed exploration of the case narrative) or an adversarial format (presenting both sides as they would be in court), this full-day structure allows for deep juror engagement, generating layered feedback and a more robust analysis of your case's strengths and vulnerabilities. It's an unparalleled opportunity to fully gauge your case's potential, practice extensive opening and closing arguments, and thoroughly test key components in a comprehensive, trial-like environment.
Mobile Focus Group
A Mobile Focus Group is a live session conducted in the client’s trial jurisdiction—we bring the full-day, directly to a local jurisdiction and recruit a demographically matched mock jury from that community. Over 7–8 hours, attorneys present detailed case materials, witness testimony (live or recorded), exhibits, and extended opening/closing arguments while moderators probe juror reactions through group discussion and real-time polling. Because the session takes place on-site in the venue where the case will be tried, you get jurisdiction-specific, trial-like insights into credibility, themes, and decision drivers—available in either neutral or adversarial formats and designed to deliver deeply actionable feedback.
